Mid Atlantic Innkeepers Bed & Breakfast Conference
Mid Atlantic "FIRSTS!
This year, at the suggestion of Suzy Blanchard of The Inn at Meander Plantation, we are having an APPLE PEELING CONTEST! Yes, now we will see who really has expertise in the kitchen! Anyone is welcome to try his or her hand. A grand prize will be given for the longest peel in the shortest time.
Another FIRST will be a booth set aside in the Exhibit Hall for authors. See September 29th BLOG, Calling All Authors!). B&B owners, past or present, which have authored a Cookbook or any other book related to our industry are welcome to exhibit.

In January at the Mid Atlantic innkeepers Trade Show & Conference, Debbie Anderson will again be filling the Exhibit Hall with the delightful aroma of fresh baked scones! Attendees get to watch the "Scone Lady" bake her signature scones and are invited to taste the various varieties.
This year Debbie will also present a workshop, Creative Scone Making, where she will assist attendees with their own variations.
Victorian House Scones won the BEST NEW PRODUCT award at the World Tea Expo 2009.

Mid Atlantic Innkeepers - B&B Conference
Wine Tasting at Mid Atlantic!
On Monday evening, January 11th, there will be a wonderful wine tasting in the Exhibit Hall at THE HOMESTEAD. Join in the fun with your friends as we "wine" down the day.
Three of Virginia's finest wineries will be participating!
Chateau Morrisette, taking pride in creating luscious, desirable, and affordable wines with a unique style and flavor.
Fincastle Vineyard and Winery, a farm winery with a special emphasis on quality, not quantity. From the vines of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Chardonnay come wines pressed gently and aged in oak.
Rockbridge Vineyard produces a full spectrum of wines to match a broad range of individual tastes. By processing each wine minimally and employing traditional, small batch methods, the full intensity and terrior of each wine is captured.
